A MAN was caught on domestic CCTV trying car door handles in the early hours of the morning.
John James Rice, 33, of the Islington Motel, Great Bolton Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty at the town's magistrates court to vehicle interference.
He was made subject to a curfew between 7pm and 7am for eight weeks and ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said Rice had been given a custodial sentence for a number of similar offences in August and had a long history of like offences.
Gareth Price, defending, said at the time of the offence Rice had lost his accommodation and was homeless.
"He was walking the streets and foolishly tried these door handles," said Mr Price. "The vehicles were locked and he didn't do anything else."
