A DISQUALIFIED driver who failed to comply with his last sentence for the same offence has been jailed.
Blackburn magistrates heard Arfan Kazi was stopped because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt but was then found to be driving while disqualified and without insurance.
Kazi, 38, of Blackthorn Close, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to both offences.
A previous community order was revoked and replaced with two weeks in prison and he was sentenced to a further six weeks for the latest offence.
Imposing an immediate prison sentence District Judge John Maxwell said Kazi had not been compliant with orders of the court for a considerable time.
