A GLASGOW bridal shop has stepped in a bid to help devastated brides who've been effected by the closure of a major city store.

Tullahblush Bridal, on Maryhill Road, has set aside around 100 dresses for brides with wedding dates too close to re-order another gown following the shock closure of popular Berketex Brides.

The shop has urged bride-to-be's to get in touch if they are need of help.

In a Facebook post, staff said: "We are sorry to hear so many brides have been affected & let down by Berketex.

"We can only imagine how you are all feeling.

"The tullablush team have been busy trying to help those affected today.

"We have over 100 beautiful, immaculate gowns to take home for those of you who have dates too close to order another gown.

"If we can be of assistance we will be happy to help out & relieve any bride from the stress of it all. Call us on 0141 258-2500."

We told yesterday how the Bath Street store announced it was to shut with immediate effect after calling in administrators.

Brides who were yet to collect their gowns were asked to contact the store as soon as possible.
