A MAN who "misjudged" the amount he had drunk failed a breathalyser as he gave two friends a lift home.
Blackburn magistrates heard Marco Corbelli was more than double the legal limit when he was breathalysed in Bank Street, Darwen.
Corbelli, 44, of Sudell Road, Darwen, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. He was fined £320 with £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge and banned from driving for 20 months.
Graeme Parkinson, defending, said his client had been at a friend's house and had been drinking.
"He clearly misjudged the amount of alcohol he had consumed," said Mr Parkinson.
