Elliott Bennett feels the draw against Rotherham United may have been a game Rovers would previously have lost.
Despite having a glut of chances, and forcing several fine saves from visiting ‘keeper Marek Rodak, Rovers were facing defeat when Michael Smith headed the Millers in to a shock 75th minute lead.
But not feeling down on their luck, Rovers battled back to level through Bradley Dack nine minutes from time.
He said: “I thought, especially second half, we really put the pressure on.
“Their goal obviously came in the second half, a cross in to the big man, but it’s frustrating not to come away with the three points.
“It’s always a possibility, every team in the Championship can cause you a problem.
“Their way of causing you problems is by getting a lot of balls and throws in to the big man.
“It works for them and they managed to nick a goal against us which was obviously disappointing from our point of view but I think the resilience to carry on going, with 15 minutes to go, we could have wilted and lost the game 1-0.
“We may have done that in the past, but this team doesn’t know how to lie down and say no.
“Great credit to the lads to pulling a goal back, that man again on the scoresheet, Dacky, but like I’ve said before the over-riding feeling is one of disappointment.”
Bennett drew two saves from Rodak at 0-0, and also went close to a winner with an injury-time effort which deflected just wide.
And he added: “We created enough chances to win a couple of games to be honest.
“Sometimes it goes for you, sometimes it doesn’t, and the main thing was that we didn’t lose the game. That would have been a real travesty.”
