A WOMAN was taken to hospital following a truck crash.
Emergency services were called to Waddington after a Nissan Pick-Up-Truck crashed on Slaidburn Road shortly before noon today.
The smash came after the vehicle hit a slight slope on an embankment near the road. It was attached to a horse trailer.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman, was trapped inside and had to be rescued by firefighters.
Paramedics arrived shortly after and monitored the condition of the casualty, who was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
A police spokesman said: "We were called by the fire service following reports a Nissan Pickup truck had crashed.
"A woman was trapped inside and air ambulance attended.
"She was taken to hospital to be checked over and the vehicle has been recovered."
