A MAN exposed himself to a woman in a street.

Police said the woman, in her 40s, had walked to the junction of St Cuthbert Street and Bulcock Street in Burnley at around 10.20am on Sunday.

A silver car pulled up near her and the driver, a man in his early 30s, asked her for directions before making an inappropriate comment and exposing himself.

The man, described as a white male with a gaunt face and stubble, drove off in the car towards Briercliffe Road.

PC Mikaela Peacock said: "This incident has understandably left the victim shaken up.

"It happened in broad daylight and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen anything suspicious to come forward and contact us."
