ALMOST 300 people turned out to a music night to raise money for the daughters of a man who was stabbed to death.
The Bounce for Taz music night was held at the Cellar Bar in Blackburn, after Tarro 'Taz' Grogan, was killed in Roe Lee estate in Blackburn on Sunday, October 14.
A total of £2,370 was raised for Mr Grogan's daughters, Brooke and Aroura, with the cash going to them when they turn 18.
The night saw 55 DJ's and MC's perform in two separate rooms at the bar in King Street and was organised by disc jockey Carl Hill.
Cherish Duckworth, Mr Grogan's sister, said her mother Paula Duckworth and other members of their family attended the event.
She said: "It was a fantastic night.
"The place was packed and it all ran smoothly.
"I'd really like to thank Carl and all the DJ's who performed for free, they did this out of the kindness of their own hearts.
"We are all touched by everyone's generosity.
"The money will be given to the girls when they are 18, it can pay for university or towards something they need.
"The family would like to thank everyone involved."

More fundraising events are expected to take place including a 'Taz Fight Night'.
The event is expected to take place at the Audley Sports Centre in Blackburn.
It's been organised by Blackburn Predators, the mixed-martial arts club Mr Grogan was part of, on Saturday, December 8.
Mr Hill said: "It went better than I could have expected it to.
"It shows how many people liked Taz and wanted to support his family.
"I had so many DJs come to me and wanted to perform that we had to split them into two rooms so they could all play.
"It was a fantastic night, everyone involved was amazing.
"The event was organised in about three weeks, everyone pulled together to make it work."
Last week hundreds of people gathered at Blackburn Cathedral to pay their respects to the 29-year-old at his funeral.
