THEY have just played their biggest headline gig to date welcoming special guests Paul Weller and Graham Parker on stage in London and now Stone Foundation are preparing for their first show in Blackburn.

The Midlands outfit play the town’s newest venue, the Electric Church, next Saturday night and lead singer Neil Jones can’t wait to introduce the band to a whole new audience.

“It’s all about spreading the word,” he said. “We just want to get out there and play the new record live - it’s sounding great to us and we want more people to experience it.”

That record - Everybody, Anybody - is the follow up to Street Rituals which brought the band to the attention of critics and music lovers alike.

The band, complete with full brass section, have been championed by Paul Weller who has appeared on the two most recent albums.

“We’re trying to a make heavier, harder sound,” said Neil. “It’s all going really well and we want to take our music to a wider audience.”
