TOMORROW children in the care of Blackburn with Darwen Council will celebrate their achievement at an awards evening at Ewood Park.

The prizes have been donated by Blackburn Rovers Football Club which also gave 150 tickets to looked after youngsters and their foster carers for Saturday's home match against Queens Park Rangers.

Tomorrow's awards will be presented by Cllr Maureen Bateson, executive member for children’s services, Jayne Ivory, director of children’s services, and special guest Jake Quickenden, winner of the 10th Series of Dancing on Ice.

Cllr Bateson said “The support offered by Blackburn Rovers has been overwhelming. It has been lovely to see the children enjoying themselves. Having their photos taken with mascot Rover the Dog has been a highlight."
