A SHOPLIFTER continued to offend despite being subject to a community order.
Blackburn magistrates heard David Hodgson-Smith stole goods worth £677 and none of it was recovered.
Hodgson-Smith, 33, of Hudson Street, Burnley, pleaded guilty to theft of a vacuum cleaner worth £233 from Asda, gift sets worth £80 from Boots, a £295 TV from Asda and gift sets from Boots on Saturday.
He was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison and ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.
The community order, which was imposed for four offences of shoplifting, was revoked.
Mark Williams, defending, said his client appreciated there would only be one outcome to the appearance.
