FIREFIGHTERS performed two dramatic rescues as they showed the public how it's done.
The demonstrations were part of an open day held at Hyndburn Community Fire Station.
The station was open to people to look around at the equipment used to put out fires, such as the stinger and an aerial ladder platform.
There was also firefighting demonstrations, face painting, cake stalls and more.
A fire service spokesman said: "What a day, hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
"We raised £350 which will go towards our firefighters charity.
"Thank you all for coming."
