A TRIAL date has been set for a man accused of attacking Steven Dyson - who drowned after leaving a New Year's Eve party.
Daniel Conway, 22, of South Street, Bacup, has been accused of assaulting Mr Dyson.
Conway has denied the charge and is set to face a two-day trial at Manchester Magistrates Court, beginning on January 30.
Mr Dyson, of Beechwood Avenue, Ramsbottom, was found drowned in the River Irwell, on January 6, after leaving a party in St Andrew's Close, in the town.
A pre-trial hearing has also been scheduled for November 8, court officials have confirmed.
