DETECTIVES want to trace this man after a schoolgirl was touched inappropriately in Oswaldtwistle.

The 14-year-old girl was on her way to school when she was followed by a man along a shortcut path from Heron Way.

When she reached Town Bent Lane, a man run up to her, grabbed her buttock and then ran off.

Officers have now released an EvoFit image of a man they want to speak to following the incident on Thursday, September 27, at around 8am.

The man pictured is described as white, aged between 20 and 30, short and was wearing a black hat and black clothing.

The release of the image follows a previous appeal where police asked for the public’s help on the incident earlier this month.

Officers want anyone who recognises the man or knows someone who looks like him to come forward.

Police said their search is very much on-going and that they are determined to find the man responsible.

Anyone with information should email DC Kirsty Stephenson on 1347@lancashire.pnn.police.uk or can call 01254 353628.
