SERVING members of the armed forces will be able to travel free on any services operated by Transdev's Blackburn, Rosso and Burnley bus companies' service on Remembrance Sunday.

Their front of their vehicles will also wear large poppies in the run-up to November 11's centenary of the end of World War One

Transdev Blazefield's chief executive Alex Hornby said: “This year’s Remembrance has additional significance, marking 100 years since the end of World War One, and so we felt it was right to increase our support for the excellent work done by the Royal British Legion.

“We’re also pleased once again to be able to offer free travel to all members of the armed forces on Remembrance Sunday. Many will be attending Remembrance events and this is our way of showing our gratitude to them."

The purchase by Transdev of large-sized poppies for its buses from the Royal British Legion has raised hundreds of pounds for the Royal British Legion.
