A FIVE-YEAR-OLD who climbed Pendle Hill 52 times was nominated as a Brave Briton.
The challenge Burnley schoolgirl Daisy Hooper had set was the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest three times.
Daisy, of Lower Manor Lane, Burnley, raised around £5,000, in aid of Pendleside Hospice, when she completed the challenge in seven months.
She was one of five people to be nominated in the Young Hero category of the Amplifon Awards for Brave Britons 2018, an award which is given to a person under 18 who has shown outstanding courage or taken on an exceptional challenge.
Daisy received a finalists' certificate from Falklands War hero Simon Weston at the London ceremony last week.
