WITNESSES stopped their car and went back after seeing a man pushing a woman against a wall late at night.
Blackburn magistrates heard after he was arrested for assault David Maurice Kendall admitted he had drunk at least 10 pints of lager and taken a line of cocaine.
Before he appeared in court for that offence Kendall assaulted the same victim after turning up at her house to collect his belongings.
Kendall, 29, of High Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman on September 29 and October 16.
He was made subject to a community order for 18 months with 15 days rehabilitation activity requirement, six months drug treatment requirement and 50 hours unpaid work.
He was ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
