A MAN crashed his car as he drove home after falling out with a friend he had been drinking with.
Blackburn magistrates heard Joshua Hagan tried to run off when the police arrived but was quickly detained and admitted he had been drink driving.
Hagan, 21, of Hurstwood Avenue, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.
He committed the offence in Wood Street, Darwen, on September 30. He had 91 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Hagan was made subject to a community order for six months with a 12 hour attendance centre order. He was fined £100 with £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge and banned from driving for 23 months.
Scott Parker, defending, said after making the foolish decision to drive home Hagan did not get very far before crashing into a street sign.
