A HERITAGE morning saw a school dig out its history and showcase it to the public.
Part of the National Heritage open days, the heritage morning was held on Saturday September 15 at Darwen Vale High School and organised by Cathy Kenyon and Debbie Welsh.
Some of the memorabilia on display dated back to 1904, with collections of old photographs, school magazines, inspection reports and handwritten head teacher reports.
At the same time, parents who could not attend the open evening had a chance to look around the school and ask teachers any questions.
Prefects in attendance were commended for their hard work. Head girl Emily Benn demonstrated her Aldridge attributes of teamwork and determination.
