A RAWTENSTALL restaurant has been named as the best Italian in the country.
A'Vucciria in Bank Street is run by father and son team Ignazio and Michele Pillitteri.
They won the award after judges posed as diners and tested out the restaurant.
And A'Vucciria isn't the only award winning Italian in East Lancs.
Mondello's in Crawshawbooth was hailed as the best pizzeria in England and Belissimmo in Burnley was named best Italian cafe.
Winners at the English Italian Awards 2018 were announced at a glitzy ceremony in Manchester earlier this month.
