A PENSIONER has been taken to hospital after being hit by a lorry.
Police have closed off Blackamoor Road from the Haslingden Road junction to the Walker Road junction.
The incident took place at 9.50am this morning, close to The Willows Pub.
There was seven police vehicles at the scene and an ambulance, eye witnesses said.
The man, who police said is in his late 70s or early 80s, has been taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with a leg injury, which is not thought to be serious.
He was conscious and breathing at the scene.
The road is thought to remain closed for several hours.
