TWO MEN and a woman arrested in connection with the murder of Blackburn father-of-two Tarro ‘Taz’ Grogan have been released without charge.
Police said the men, aged 28 and 29, and the 38-year-old woman - who are all from Blackburn - are now witnesses in the murder investigation.
A 26-year-old man, also arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in custody.
Detectives have applied for extra time to question the man, who is also from Blackburn, following his arrest on Sunday morning.
Mr Grogan, a former student at Witton Park High School, Blackburn, was found with stab injuries at a house in Peridot Close, Roe Lee, at around 10am on Sunday.
Paramedics were unsuccessful with their attempts to revive him and Mr Grogan, 29, died at the scene.
Detectives have recovered a number of knives but are still working to establish which one is the murder weapon.
Tributes have been pouring in for Mr Grogan online.
A Home Office pathologist conducted a postmortem examination yesterday and established the medical cause of Mr Grogan’s death was stab wounds.
Detective Superintendent Pete Simm said: “We recognise the disruption caused during this ongoing investigation and we would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting log number 537 of Sunday, October 14.
