A FRESH appeal has been made for witnesses after a man suffered a serious injury in a lorry crash in Blackburn.
Police say that the 60-year-old was crossing Grimshaw Park, at around 1.10pm last Wednesday.
He was said previously to have stumbled into the road before being hit by a red MAN lorry travelling southbound.
The man suffered a serious hand injury and a head injury and was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital initially, before being transferred to the Royal Preston Hospital.
Police have confirmed the lorry driver, a 47-year-old man from Stoke, was unhurt and remained at the scene.
Sgt Lee Harris, of Lancashire Police, said: "We would like witnesses to come forward after a serious road traffic collision in Blackburn.
"Did you see what happened? Please get in touch with us if you can help."
Potential witnesses are being asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 0653 of October 10.
