A CALL has gone out for landowners to put forward sites for potential development.

Blackburn with Darwen Council is preparing a new Local Plan, which will set out the planning strategy for the borough and allocate a range of sites for development to meet identified needs covering the period 2018-2036.

To support this work, the council is inviting landowners, developers, agents, residents and other interested parties to submit for consideration details of sites that may have potential for future development.

The council is looking for sites which could be used for housing, employment, retail, leisure and mixed-use, though land put forward for other purposes will also be considered.

For details of forms and other documents which need to be submitted to the council, go to https://www.blackburn.gov.uk/Pages/Blackburn-with-Darwen-local-plan-2018-2036-call-for-sites-consultation.aspx.

Details of potential development sites must be put forward to the council by December 3.
