A MAN was seen by a neighbour smashing a window with a brick.
Blackburn magistrates heard Anthony Mark Walsh had gone to the house to see his estranged partner but when she knew he was coming she went out.
Walsh, 38, of Mount Pleasant, Worsthorne, Burnley, pleaded guilty to criminal damage to a window. He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Duncan Nightingale, defending, said the couple had been in a chaotic relationship for about three years.
"He had tried to contact her but failed," said Mr Nightingale. "He was trying to open the window behind which they normally keep the door keys."
