A FOOD delivery service which will allow you to get a juicy Big Mac delivered right to your front door in as little as 30 minutes has been launched in East Lancashire.

Long gone are the days of leaving your warm home to get food from your favourite restaurant, as Uber Eats is expanding across Lancashire meaning you can get the likes of a McDonald's delivered right to your home.

The service, which is already available in Preston, is now also available for those living in Blackburn - and some of the town's best cafes and restaurants have signed up to the delivery service, including Roomali, Maida and Frankie & Benny's.

This means customers can order their next meal at the touch of a button, totally fuss-free.

The app, which is available for download on iOS and Android, will allow you to track you delivery, pay and tip your delivery man using the same account you use for Uber's taxi service with no cash required.

For those who don't already have an Uber account, a profile which will allow you to order your take-away can be created in a matter of minutes.

Toussaint Wattinne, General Manager of Uber Eats in the UK, said: “We have been blown away with how popular the app has been in Preston so we’re really excited to be launching in Blackburn.

"People can now get great food at the touch of a button delivered straight to their home or office.

"We have partnered with plenty of restaurants, so we hope there will be something for everyone’s tastes.”

The app was launched in Blackburn on October 9 and food can be ordered every day of the week from 8am to midnight.

A spokesman for Uber Eats said: "For local restaurants, the Uber Eats app means more business with more options for delivery and a thousands of potential new customers.

"The Uber Eats app also offers flexible work opportunities for those with bikes or scooters, choosing when and where they want to work."
