MOTORISTS have been left facing long delays after an accident on the A56 earlier today.
A collision occurred near the A680 Rising Bridge roundabout, which has led to the serious hold-up.
Traffic is said to be congested on the A679 at Huncoat southbound and the A680 from Accrington towards Rising Bridge is also affected.
The emergency services are still clearing up the scene.
