Police are urging people to be responsible when handling fireworks at this time of year.
The warning comes after officers attended a number of incidents on Saturday night in which groups of teenagers had been spotted throwing fireworks at members of the public.
Calls were made to police at around 6.20pm and 8pm on Saturday October 6, saying youths had been seen misusing fireworks in the Pleckgate Road and Troy Street areas of Blackburn.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of youths deliberately throwing fireworks around and our neighbourhood teams were sent out to respond.
"The fireworks were reportedly thrown at members of the public but thankfully no injuries were sustained.
"We would urge people not to be irresponsible with fireworks at this time of the year and not to risk injury to themselves or others."
