Rishton United 10 Brierfield Celtic 1

Brierfield were unlucky to concede a penalty for a hand ball decision and after 12 minutes, Liam McNulty blasted the ball into the back of the net. 2-0.

Hassan Acktar then had a long shot and came close to scoring.

Brierfield then attacked with a long shot which was easily collected by James Frankland in goal.

2 minutes later, their goaler fumbled the ball and Hassan Acktar was there to tap it in the net at close range. 3-0.

Lee Woollam then came close with a couple of good shots. Then a simple tap in by Liam McNulty made it 4-0 and Rishton were on top.

Reece Harwood then converted with a volley into the back of the net to make it 5-0.

Reece Harwood broke through and was fetched down in the box for Rishton's 2nd penalty, which James Frankland ran up to convert, 6-0.

Rishton kept up the pressure with Lee Woollam scoring his 2nd goal. 7-0.

A long kick by James Frankland gave Kyle Driver the opportunity to score his first goal of the match. 8-0. Half time.

Rishton brought on 3 subs Ashley Rose, Kanen Hammerton and Jonathon Whittam and the second half was more equal with some good midfield play by both teams.

Ashley Rose scored a goal but was given offside with a late decision.

Rishton were unlucky not to score with two long shots, one by Kyle Driver and one by Liam McNulty, which the goalkeeper tipped over the bar.

Tom O'Boyle was unlucky with a high shot and minutes later Tom O'Boyle set up a cross for Kyle Driver to score. 9-0.

Rishton swapped two more players, bringing back Joe Dunn and Lee Woollam.

Tom O'Boyle hit a stunning shot into the top right hand corner giving their goaler no chance to save it. 10-0.

Ashley Rose was unlucky with a shot and Jonathon Whittam thumped the ball against the upright.

A long through ball by Brierfield was well chipped over the head of the advancing goalkeeper to give them a consolation goal.
