A WOMAN who drove the wrong way around a roundabout and collided with an oncoming car later failed a breathalyser.
Blackburn magistrates heard Caroline Kiernan was driving back to West Yorkshire after visiting her boyfriend in Accrington when she crashed at 5.50am.
Kiernan, 30, of Back Lane, Holmfirth, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.
She was fined £570 with £85 costs and £57 victim surcharge and banned from driving for 14 months.
The court heard Kiernan had joined the roundabout at the end of Hyndburn Road under the viaduct and turned right instead of left.
She told police she had drunk a few beers the night before.
