JEWELLERY has been snatched during a burglary at the home of an elderly couple in Blackburn.
No fewer than 11 rings and earrings have been taken during the raid on a property in Glendale Drive, Mellor.
Investigators say the haul, stolen between September 22 and 23, was of a "great sentimental value" to the pair and have issued an appeal for anyone coming across the pieces.
One of the standout items is a 1930s Art Deco style diamond and gold ring.
But there were also heart-shaped white and yellow gold earrings, with diamonds and matching necklace and chain and a natural pearl and 18-carat gold earrings.
Police say a solid silver handmade designer ring, Pandora rose gold bracelet and charms, various gold and costume earrings, a white gold ring with three square diamongs and a rolled gold large photo pendant and chain, are also missing.
Those with any information regarding the whereabouts of the stolen jewellery is being asked to ring 101, quoting LC-20180923-0074, or e-mail Pc Pendlebury on 8863@lancashire.pnn.police.uk
