POSSIBLY the most prolific singer-songwriter going, King Creosote appears to have accepted the fact that no amount of Scottish misery can drown his considerable talent.
Full of his usual neatly turned phrases ("As with all your rules of thumb," he sings at one point, "this one comes with an index"), Bombshell is his most accessible album to date (and there have been plenty) without succumbing to the James Blunt/Coldplay recipe of faux emotion + string section = huge sales figures.
Recent single You've No Clue Do You is an instant standout track, while Nooks is quite possibly the most romantic thing we've ever heard.
