UNDER-fire billionaire Elon Musk has been offered a tempting job opportunity - by East Lancs entrepreneur David Fishwick.

The Pendle-based businessman and TV star has made the cheeky bid for the Tesla tycoon’s services amid his ongoing trials and tribulations with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Musk has been ordered to pay a $20million fine by the regulator after he was responsible for a series of tweets indicating he was about to take his electric car outfit private and had secured funding to make this happen.

Fishwick, who was most recently on TV with his How To Get Rich Quick show on Channel 4, has been trying to tempt Musk into pioneering electric-powered buses for some time.

He tweeted: “I’m the largest supplier of buses in the UK. Elon, you’ve got a job for life with me in Britain, building and developing electric vehicles and buses for Europe and beyond!

“I will fund all development costs for a Tesla powered bus.”

Fishwick first made his name with his eponymous bus firm, based in Colne.
