A young mum who threw missiles at her ex-partner hit his friend's brand new car instead, a court was told.
Burnley magistrates heard how Rachael Morville, 18, caused damage to the tune of £464. The defendant, of Darwen Street, Burnley, admitted damage. She was given a 12 month conditional discharge and must pay £210 compensation. The bench made no order for costs.
The court was told Morville had been in a stormy relationship with Lee Foster for 18 months, they had split up and he had gone round to collect his clothes.
A friend had given him a lift there in his new car.
There was a confrontation as Mr Foster was collecting his things. Morville threw a cup at Mr Foster, which missed. She then slung a glass at him which also missed, but hit the victim's car.
