A MAN struck a 17-year-old boy over the head with a hockey stick when he refused to run an errand for him.
Abid Hussain, 40, of Primrose Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to assault. He was made subject to a community order for 12 months with 15 days' rehabilitation and 150 hours' unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.
Richard Prew, defending, said his client, a taxi driver, was extremely sorry for what he had done.
