BRITISH Transport Police are investigating reports of a passenger being head-butted at Accrington station.
CCTV images have been released by British Transport Police over the incident between 7pm and 7.10pm on August 23.
In a statement, police said the train arrived at platform one and the victim walked over the bridge.
A spokesman said: "While on the overbridge, the victim is approached by a man who head-butts him and punches him to the head a number of times.
"The assault left the victim with two black eyes as well as bruising and swelling around his face.
"Officers believe the man shown in this CCTV image may have information which could help them investigate.
"If you know him, contact BTP by sending a text to 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 701 of 23/08/2018. Or you can ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
