CINEMA is returning to Carnforth after a lengthy absence with a screening of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society on Saturday, October 6.
Demand for tickets was so high, they sold out in four days, said Carnforth Town Council clerk Bob Bailey.
"Carnforth lost its only cinema when the Roxy in Market street - now the Co-op - closed many years ago," said Mr Bailey. "Now, Carnforth Town Council is helping bring back this local favourite entertainment to the town."
The historical drama, a box-office hit starring Lily James, is to be screened by Cine North at Carnforth Civic Hall, with a hotpot supper.
