KENDAL is taking part in a special week designed to bring people of different faiths together.
Interfaith Week - November 11 to 18 - will be celebrated in the town with a talk at the Quaker Meeting House, presented by the South Lakeland Equality and Diversity Partnership.
Everyone is welcome at the free event on Thursday, November 15, from 10.30am to 2pm, when a new edition of the publication "Religion, Belief and Culture in our Community" will be launched.
The speakers will be Dr Rowena Hill, principal lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, and trustee of the Fire Fighters Charity; and Shephard Ndlovu, senior lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire, and trustee of Operation Florian Fire Service and Humanitarian Charity.
Last year the Inter Faith Network of the UK acknowledged Kendal as the smallest town to hold a week long programme of events during Interfaith Week.
