AN internet band formed by a musician from Darwen and 15 strangers from around the world have released their debut album.
The 16 members of cyber band Virtual Strangers have managed to create musical harmony on two CDs, despite living in 13 different places in four different countries.
Guy Pople, of Briarcroft, Darwen, founded the group in 2003 after writing a song track on his seven-string guitar.
The music teacher was contacted by American bassist Eric Sands about an internet article Guy had written and the pair decided to collaborate on a track.
The debut single Lost will be officially released on November 5 in advance of the full length album Inquiring Minds, which will be out on December 10.
The album is the second collaboration after the band issued Prelusion in 2006.
This album introduces vocals to their sound with three new artists contributing to the album.
Lost features the angelic voice of Lara Martelli and was co-produced by MJM recordings in Oswaldtwistle, in conjunction with Darkhalo Records.
