BLKCKBURN MP Kate Hollern has visited the town's 'Training 2000' complex to see its apprenticeship programmes for herself.
She talked to trainees about their experiences of being on the various levels of paid learning scheme offered at the centre on the Furthergate Business Park.
Steve Whitehead, Chief Executive of Training 2000, said: βIt was great for Kate to observe the fantastic opportunities Training 2000 provide to people in Blackburn and Lancashire and for us to discuss with her the importance of apprenticeships being a solid and positive career choice towards higher level skills.β
Mrs Hollern said: "I spent a fascinating morning at Training 2000, and enjoyed meeting the apprentices engaged in various activities.
"I was there two years ago and it was great to see the progress made on facilities such as the automotive workshop and to hear from apprentices in a variety of fields."
