A CANNABIS farm has been discovered in Daubhill.

Police said they were initially called to reports of a man with a machete.

Officers turned out to Brandwood Street and entered a property where they then found a cannabis farm.

Residents reported seeing a police presence in the area at about 2pm on Thursday.

A police spokeswoman said: “Shortly after 1.50pm on Thursday, police were called to Daubhill to reports of a man with a machete.

“Officers attended and entered an address on the street where they discovered a cannabis farm.

“Our enquiries remain ongoing.”

Residents also reported seeing a pair of men in black clothing who entered the property before escaping in a car from the back of the house.

Police say no arrests have been made at this time.
