CLITHEROE were beaten 2-0 by Colwyn Bay on Saturday in Lee Ashforth's first game in the charge.
The Blues parted company with former boss Stuart Mellish last week with Ashforth, who was No.2, stepping up to take over.
But he couldn't start with a win as James Berrigan and Ethan Devine struck in the second half for the visitors.
The result leaves Clitheroe 18th in the Evo-Stik West.
