Commercial building fire
FOUR fire engines were despatched to a fire at an empty commercial building this afternoon.
The semi-derelict property on Whalley Road in Accrington had caught fire then the appliances were sent shortly after midday.
Appliances were sent from Hyndburn, Blackburn and Burnley fire stations.
No-one was reported to be in the building.
It took several hours to extinguish the flames and damp down the premises.
