Ribble Valley Council has joined forces with the Food Standards Agency to help caterers and restaurants comply with food hygiene regulations.

The Emporium Wine Bar and Brasserie, Mood Lane, Clitheroe, was one of the first to sign up to the Safer Food Better Business campaign.

Executive head chef Mark Gaukroger said: Safer Food Better Business gives my staff greater control of food hygiene and, on a day-to-day basis encourages them to think a lot more about food hygiene issues.
