A SHOPLIFTER who got away with stealing aftershave from Debenhams went back the next day and tried for a repeat.
Blackburn magistrates heard Daniel Kirkman was spotted immediately by security staff who had viewed the CCTV footage from the previous day and was detained after a short chase.
Kirkman, 28, of St Peter Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of stealing aftershave from Debenhams in The Mall shopping centre.
He was made subject to a community order for 12 months with 20 days' rehabilitation and ordered to pay £77 compensation, £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.
Alex Mann, prosecuting, said on his first visit Kirkman stole Ralph Lauren aftershave worth £77 which was not recovered.
The following day he pocketed Emporio Armani aftershave worth £59 but was identified and detained.
