A SANDWICH shop business is on the market for £25,000 – after the owner decided to sell up due to ill health.

Crown Estates is handling the sale of popular butty bar Billy Bunters on Copy Nook in Blackburn after owner Julie Midgely called time on the business.

Mrs Midgely says she has loved every minute of working for the past 14 years building up the business.

She said: "I would still be doing it but my health comes first.

"I have a few health issues and I have been told I just need to chill out.

"I love the job but the doctors have told me I need to rest."

The online listing states the shop has a high turnover and the price for the business includes all stock.

Crown Estates said there was also a low rental on the property.

Mrs Midgely added: "Our customers are upset but they have been saying how they are going to miss us.

"They understand why we decided enough is enough and that I need to keep my stress levels down.

"They have been amazing and they are coming in day-after-day.

"You see some people all the time and you can have a chat about their lives and they feel like part of your family

"We have been here so long and have managed to build the business up.

"It was imagined we would be selling up – we have lots of happy memories."

She added: "It is a brilliant shop with fantastic customers and is in a great location on a main road from Blackburn to Accrington.

"We would like it to be kept as a sandwich shop as it is a great business.

"I can see it being made into a fast food shop but there are not that many local sandwich shops still running so we would like it to stay like that."
