A COLLEGE student is embarking on a high flying career in retail just weeks after passing his A levels.
Lance Mitson, 19, from Ulster Street, Burnley, has been appointed store manager of the town's Asda where he previously worked part-time.
The former Blackburn College student originally intended to go to university to become a primary school teacher.
However, while still studying at college, he decided to apply for the manager's job.
Lance said: "I am gob-smacked with my results and have done far better than I expected to.
"I was planning on training to be a primary school teacher but the store manager position was advertised at work and I thought I would enjoy the challenge."
