AN 11-YEAR-OLD girl was taken to hospital after getting her leg trapped on a climbing frame.
A crew from Hyndburn Fire Station had to use hydraulic equipment to rescue a child with her leg stuck in a climbing frame on Rhyddings Park at 3.15pm.
Watch manager Mike Birks said: "There was an 11-year-old girl who got her leg stuck between the ladder bit to go up the slide.
"We needed the hydraulic pliers to open up the space between the ladder.
"She did not suffer any serious injuries just minor ones but there was a lot of swelling on her leg.
"It was a quick job and she was going to be taken to hospital by her mother for treatment.
"She was just a little bit upset."
