A DOG was rescued after getting its head trapped in the railings.
The incident took place near a children's recreation park off Park Road in Great Harwood at 3.45pm this afternoon.
Dave Berry of Accrington Fire Station said: "We used a hydraulic spreader which also helps to get people out who are trapped in cars.
"The dog was in distress when we arrived as there were three or four people trying to get it out.
"The owner of the dog was there too and we were there for 10 minutes and managed to get it out."
