NINE young dancers and musicians from Bethlehem in Palestine brought their skills to Pendle and Burnley this month.
The highlight was performance of music, singing and traditional ‘dubka’ dancing at Nelson's Unity Hall
A group of Marsden Heights Community College welcomed the visitors to their accommodation at the White Hough outdoor centre in Barley.
The dancers also performed in Nelson and Burnley town centres. The visit was arranged by Pendle Palestine Twinning Group.
Its secretary Richard MacSween said: ‘We were delighted that the Marsden Heights students were so on board for this. It made all the difference for Palestinian teenagers to be befriended by people their own age."
He added: " We’d really like to organise a return trip to Palestine for the Marsden Heights students.’
